Culinary, party & the snowboard elite in January

Bad Hofgastein is transformed on four dates at the market: casserole into a gourmet hotspot. Local products meet creative gastronomy in a cozy atmosphere at the central Hamplplatz. Gastein chefs and young chefs conjure up a top-class menu for you.
Bad Gastein has been the venue for an FIS snowboard race for 20 years. The elite of the snowboard world meet and provide exciting duels in the various disciplines. The anniversary celebration starts with a morning pint at the Stubnerkogelbahn. Here you will surely meet numerous stars of the ski circus. In the afternoon Harry Prünster and his Fabulous Boys provide “cool jokes and great hits”. This fun entertainment is the right way to get into the mood for the party in the evening with the party band Meilenstein and dancing with DJ Krazzee. The next few days there will be a lot of action in the parallel and mixed team competitions as well as the World Cup party.
Party atmosphere guaranteed: On his summit tour, DJ Ötzi will stop at the mountain station of the Schlossalmbahn on January 19th and will shake the mountain with free entry.

Cool sculptures and rock sounds in February

From February 1st to 7th, the Gastein Valley will be transformed into a huge artist's studio at Art on Snow. At the largest art festival in the Alps in the middle of the ski area and in the town centers, you can marvel at "cool" works of art made of snow and ice on the subject of "forest dwellers" and how they were created. Right at the beginning of the valley by the Klammstein tunnel, a 3 m high owl made of snow welcomes you, showing you the way to the snow and ice statues and the walkable snow sculptures. If you feel like trying the cold materials while transforming a block of ice or a pile of snow into a unique figure, you have the opportunity to do so at an ice carving workshop.
The Irish rock band "The Harleys" is providing cool background music this week with performances at various locations. In the ice sculpture competition with public voting, the favorite artist is then chosen. Art on Snow guarantees another great week in Gastein.

March from swing to samba

At the beginning of March there will be four days of jazz. In the sawmill cultural center and on the terraces of the Gasteiner ski huts, under the motto "... some like it hot", whether as a solo artist or as a classic trio, fixtures in jazz as well as promising newcomers appear. Look forward to the jazz greats and musical new discoveries in the jazz world. Concerts and sessions take place regularly in the sawmill, if you are a jazz fan this location is always a hot tip for you.
Two weeks later, palm trees grow on the alpine pastures and your day of skiing is full of Caribbean joie de vivre. The contrast of glittering snow, deep blue sky, the majestic mountains and green palm trees let you forget everyday life completely. Delicious cocktails with hot rhythms at the ice bar or in a deck chair with the sun on your face ensure skiing with that Caribbean feeling.

April under the sign of the superstar Helene Fischer

The Sound & Snow festival runs through the winter like a red thread and has its brilliant final point on April 4, when Helene Fischer causes storms of enthusiasm. The shooting star from Carinthia Melissa Naschenweng ensures the right mood before the Schlager superstar will enthrall the audience to storms of enthusiasm on the concert site at the foot of the Schlossalmbahn.
After enjoying the fun on the slopes in the sunshine in the mountains, the first Easter events are already waiting in the valley.
